In general, our Terms & Conditions cover the following:

Welcome to Buddy, a service provided by Cybr Physical Solutions (PTY) LTD (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our app and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

1.  Acceptance of Terms

By using Buddy, you (“User” or “you”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2.  Service Description

Buddy streamlines business operations and enhances customer interactions through WhatsApp assistants built on the WhatsApp Business Platform Cloud API. Our services include customer registration, sales, bookings, invoicing, payments, lead generation, customer support, and more. 

 

We offer three subscription plans, each designed to cater to different levels of business needs:

  • Standard Plan:
    Ideal for small businesses or startups looking to automate basic processes using WhatsApp without advanced integrations. This plan helps save time and streamline operations with simple automation.
    Cost: From R 650.00 per month (with an additional once-off R2,500 setup fee).

  • Professional Plan:
    Designed for businesses seeking to enhance their automation with dynamic interactions and basic AI capabilities, further streamlining operations.
    Cost: From R 950.00 per month (with an additional once-off R3,500 setup fee).

  • Premium Plan:
    The ultimate solution for businesses ready to leverage advanced analytics, integrations, and AI-driven interactions to fully scale and optimize their operations.
    Cost: From R 3500.00 per month (with an additional once-off R8,500 setup fee).

  • For large Enterprise clients, please send us an email for a consultation and further needs analysis.

* These prices are starting points and are subject to change based on a comprehensive evaluation of your company's needs and customer base. After an initial consultation and a thorough needs analysis, we will determine the scope of work required to support your unique use case. 

 

* If additional research, investigation, development, setup, or features beyond our current offerings (WhatsApp Business Platform API) are required, we will charge a consultation fee at R 700.00 per hour, and a quote reflecting the additional services going forward will be made available on request.

Our goal is to ensure that each solution is fully tailored to your business, offering the most value and efficiency possible. We work closely with you to understand your requirements and deliver a solution that meets your exact needs.

Message / Conversation Categories

When using Meta's Cloud API for WhatsApp, the cost of sending messages varies based on the type of message. Here’s an overview of the different message types:

  1. Marketing Messages
    These are messages sent to customers with promotional content, such as special offers, discounts, or product announcements. They are intended to drive customer engagement and sales but typically come with higher costs due to their commercial nature.

  2. Utility Messages
    Utility messages provide customers with important, non-promotional information that is directly relevant to their transactions or ongoing use of your service. Examples include appointment reminders, shipping updates, and order confirmations. These messages generally have a lower cost compared to marketing messages.

  3. Authentication Messages
    Used for account security purposes, authentication messages help verify user identities through one-time passwords (OTPs) or two-factor authentication (2FA). These messages are crucial for enhancing security and often have distinct pricing structures due to their importance.

  4. Service Messages
    Service messages facilitate customer support interactions, allowing businesses to provide assistance, resolve issues, or answer customer queries. They are typically sent within the 24-hour customer service window and often have lower costs due to their support-oriented nature.

3.  Subscriptions and Payments
  • Fees*: Users must pay the applicable monthly subscription fee and one-time setup fee as per their chosen plan. This is for the service of developing and hosting your service using our technology. ​​

  • Billing Cycle: Payments are due monthly in advance. Failure to pay may result in suspension of services.

4.  Message Limits and Fees
  • Conversation Types: Messages are categorized as Marketing, Utility, or Service.

  • Billing: Each conversation type is billed per 24-hour period based on the number of conversations initiated.

  • Additional Message Charges: Using Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, each message and conversation type will charge a fee, which you are liable for. This is charged to your company's Meta Business Profile.

    • Marketing Messages: R0.72 per conversation per 24 hours

    • Utility Messages: R0.15 per conversation per 24 hours

    • Service Messages: Free

5.  User Responsibilities
  • Provide access to your Meta Business Portfolio (with no developer restrictions), and a valid cell phone number, not in use with any Meta services. An eSim can be organised on request.

  • Account Information: Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.

  • Security: Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • Compliance: Use Buddy per all applicable laws and these Terms.

  • Data Management: We are committed to protecting your data. Refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on data collection, usage, and protection.

  • Client Data: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your client data. We implement security measures to safeguard your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.  Intellectual Property
  • Ownership: All intellectual property rights in Buddy and its content belong to Cybr Physical Solutions (PTY) LTD.

  • User Content: You retain ownership of your data but grant us a license to use it to provide our services.

9.  Termination
  • Termination by User: You may cancel your subscription at any time.

  • Termination by Us: We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these Terms or other policies.

  • Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to Buddy ceases, and we will retain your data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

10.  Limitation of Liability

Buddy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

11.  Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate South African courts.

12.  Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Buddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
